Arsenal received a minor boost to their Premier League title hopes as Manchester City slumped to a surprise defeat on Saturday.
Whilst Arsenal are still off the pace as far as the title race is concerned, lagging behind leaders Liverpool and Manchester City, they will at least have the chance to gain some ground on the reigning champions when they take on Chelsea this afternoon.
Arsenal have to beat Chelsea to keep their Premier League title hopes alive, but given the Gunners’ recent form they certainly won’t arrive at Stamford Bridge as the heavy favourites.
Despite this, Jurrien Timber has made a promise to Arsenal fans, assuring them that the club will improve against the Blues. A win against Chelsea would certain lift the mood in North London.

How Erling Haaland provoked Arsenal fans
Seeing Manchester City fall to defeat will also have lifted the spirits of Arsenal supporters.
A rivalry between Manchester City and Arsenal has brewed in recent seasons, as the two clubs have gone head-to-head in successive title races.
Whilst Mikel Arteta’s side are yet to beat the Cityzens to a Premier League crown, they have shown on the pitch that they can go toe-to-toe with them.
After a draw between the two teams earlier this season, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was clearly rattled.
Haaland was spotted telling Arteta to “stay humble,” after John Stones’ last gasp goal had snatched a point for the hosts, despite Arsenal having been down to ten men for the majority of the match.
