Arsenal managed to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they overcame Wolves, but the match wasn’t without its drama.
The Gunners were held at Molineux for a long time as they struggled to find an opening, perhaps not helped by Martin Odegaard’s absence.
A difficult match got tougher as Arsenal saw Myles Lewis-Skelly receive a red card for a controversial decision.
Lightyears away from goal, a petulant trip from the Hale End academy graduate was viewed as serious foul play, resulting in the straight sending off.
Michael Oliver was slammed by Arsenal fans, for what was perceived to be another baffling call made against the side.
Later in the match, the referee evened things up as Joao Gomes received a second yellow to send Wolves to ten men as well.
With the match moving towards a draw, step forward Riccardo Calafiori, as the defender picked up a late goal to hand the Gunners a victory.
It was an important three points for Arsenal in the Premier League, with fans giving mixed reviews on a few players and their performances – including Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal fans give verdict on Leandro Trossard’s display vs Wolves
One star who was given a chance from the start was Leandro Trossard, who featured on the left flank and impressed at times during the match.
On SofaScore, the Belgian managed to pick up a 7.2 rating for his performance, with two key passes to his name.
Some supporters were impressed by Trossard, taking to social media to say: “Shoutout trossard as well, he may be a run in player you know, performances have been a lot better.”
Another added: “Trossard was insane today. If he can play like this until the end of the season then we have a chance.”
“Offensively & defensively, Trossard has been incredible,” one fan added.
Meanwhile, a portion of the fanbase were left extremely frustrated by Trossard and, in particular, his corner kicks.
It appeared as though the forward was attempting to take some set-pieces with his weak foot, harking back to former player Santi Cazorla – who could set them with both feet.
Fans were less impressed though, adding: “WHY IS TROSSARD TAKING CORNERS WITH HIS LEFT FOOT, ITS NOT WORKING.”
“Trossard you are not him [Cazorla] pal,” another added.
One fan pointed out the desire to deliver inswinging corners, claiming: “Trossard taking corners with his weak foot cos of our infatuation with inswingers…”
It suggests fans were a bit split over Trossard, given his general play but his set-piece deliveries as well.

Leandro Trossard has key Arsenal role left to play this season
Trossard hasn’t quite had the campaign many would’ve hoped at times, not least given the impact he has shown in previous seasons.
The forward was the sign of clinical finishing in the Arsenal squad, having often made an impact from the bench.
With more starts this season, the goal tally has largely been fine but without perhaps the same impact at key moments.
| Appearances | 32 |
| Goals | 5 |
| Assists | 5 |
However, given the nature of his previous goal involvements, Trossard clearly has a few big goals and assists in his locker.
If it’s something he can bring out again in those key moments, particularly the coming cup matches, then it would be a huge boost for the side, not least given the injuries up front.
