Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri is continuing to impress at club level, and he has carried his form to his National Team.

Nwaneri is just 17, but is already becoming a more notable figure within the Arsenal first-team squad, and many believe he is ready to step up his game time after advancing from the Hale End Academy.

Whilst the teenager is in and around the Arsenal first-team, it is a different story with England, as he is still part of the under-19 squad, rather than moving to a higher level.

Nwaneri has just scored the winner for England under-19s against Lithuania, and Arsenal fans are now convinced that he is ready to be tested against better opposition.

Arsenal fans believe Ethan Nwaneri needs England promotion

Nwaneri scored the only goal of the game against Lithuania, heading his side in front early on, before impressing in a role identical to the one played by Martin Odegaard for Arsenal.

Fans have now taken to X to praise Nwaneri, but have also pointed out that he is simply too good to be playing youth football for either club or country right now.

“Got to be playing for their U21s soon enough, surely? This is becoming too easy for him lol,” one fan posted.

“Should be playing u21s by now,” another added.

“21s by the end of the season,” a fan stated in response.

“Every week Nwaneri is showing us another string to his bow. His skillset is already so impressive at 17 y/o it’s crazy,” another fan posted.

“Shouldn’t be playing youth football anymore to be dead honest,” another claimed.

Ethan Nwaneri delivers masterclass for England under-19s

Nwaneri captained the England side, despite being the fourth-youngest player in the team, and his performance was an incredible one as he helped secure victory against Lithuania.

The midfielder excelled in attacking areas, opening the scoring with a deft header from a late run into the box, and he replicated Odegaard’s role perfectly.

It is clear that Nwaneri will advance to the England under-21s before too long, but he will hope that more senior game time with Arsenal will come first to allow him to continue his development under Mikel Arteta.
