Arsenal fans are not happy about the latest transfer news involving striker Eddie Nketiah.
Eddie Nketiah has been expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The Hale End academy graduate doesn’t seem to feature heavily in Mikel Arteta’s plans, and was only afforded a bit-part role in the Arsenal squad throughout the second half of last season.
Nketiah looked to be close to joining Marseille, but it now seems that the 25-year-old could end up staying at the Emirates Stadium this summer after all.
However, unless he takes a dramatic step up in the pecking order, remaining in North London would be a disaster for the once-capped England international.
At this stage in his career, the striker needs to be playing regular football. He is highly unlikely to get the opportunity to do that with the Gunners. Another season on the bench at the Emirates Stadium though would see his career stagnate and his value drop.
Despite this, though, according to HITC, Arsenal are happy to keep Nketiah if Marseille fail to meet their asking price, and they will not look to push him out of the club.

Arsenal fans criticise Mikel Arteta over Eddie Nketiah decision
This stance has provoked a response from Arsenal fans on X, who are convinced that the time has come for the club to move on from Nketiah.
One said: “We will never win a big trophy if we still consider these guys Nketiah and Jesus as our strikers.”
Another stated: “Arteta talks about how very small margins at the very top level being the difference between winning and losing. Not replacing Eddie with a better striker could be that difference.”
One claimed: “We are moving like a small club! Get rid. We’ll lose him for less next summer.”
Another added: “Now this is dispiriting. If Arsenal don’t bring a striker, again it means ambitions are simply stacked for top four finish. We were very close to be the complete team but it seems we have reached the peak already before we even make silverware harvests.”
One fan chipped in with: “stupid stupid Arsenal, we will never get that money for him again, Arteta certainly won’t use him which tanks his value even more, they got this one wrong. Badly.”
Another exclaimed: “I CANNOT watch this guy for another full season man.”
Nketiah creating striker transfer problem for Arsenal
If Arsenal do not offload Nketiah this summer, then it will be tricky for Arteta to find room in his squad for another striker, despite clearly being on the hunt for one.
Arsenal are currently pushing to sign Dominic Solanke, and there have also been links with Viktor Gyokeres. Surely, though, Nketiah would have to depart in order to allow for the arrival of either of these targets.
