Gabriel Martinelli nominated for Samba Gold award
Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has been nominated for the Samba Gold award for 2024, which ranks the best Brazilian players in the world.
The winger has shown impressive sparks under Mikel Arteta ever since sealing the spot on the left wing as his own.
The 23-year-old is often at his best when taking on the opposition full-back one-on-one, though recent form has seemingly dropped off.

Despite concerns over his place in the team, Martinelli has been nominated for the Samba Gold award shortlist.
While the forward has a place in the contenders list, the duo of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Magalhaes were snubbed.
Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr was last year’s winner, while Neymar Jr missed out on being nominated for the first time since 2014.

Arsenal fans demand Viktor Gyokeres transfer
Arsenal fans have made their feelings clear on a transfer for Sporting CP and Sweden star Viktor Gyokeres in the months ahead.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the striker over the summer, who has a release clause in the region of £86million.
Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar opted against triggering that clause though and instead stuck with their current forward options.
That may prove to be a mistake though as proven by Gyokeres and the form he has shown at the start of the season.

In just four league games, the 26-year-old has bagged seven goals and one assist for his side, while that has continued into the international break.
Featuring in UEFA Nations League action, Gyokeres bagged three goals and a few assists to help Sweden register two wins from two.
It has led to Arsenal fans calling for a transfer for the centre-forward by the time the January transfer window rolls around.

Jurrien Timber outlines his favourite part of Arsenal training
Arsenal star Jurrien Timber is getting back into the swing of things after having a severely disrupted first campaign at the club due to injury.
The defender is fully fit and raring to go as he features for the Gunners, as well as his international team the Netherlands.
Now the 23-year-old is firmly back in the frame, he has revealed his favourite part of training at London Colney.

“The way they approach the game at Arsenal is quite similar to the way they did at Ajax when I used to play there, so not that different,” he told the club’s official website.
“My favourite training drills when I was younger are just the same as they are now – just games, five against five. Then and now. I like to win, so I love those games!”
