Manchester United are eyeing a surprise move to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly from Arsenal.

The teenager had his breakthrough season under Mikel Arteta in the 2024/25 campaign. He was incredible, so much so that he was even given his senior England debut by Thomas Tuchel.

Things have been very different for Lewis-Skelly this time around. He has barely played for Arsenal and has dropped below both Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order.

That has led to rumours about his future, and Manchester United have become shock contenders to sign him.

Arsenal fans make it clear that Myles Lewis-Skelly should not be sold to Manchester United

If Lewis-Skelly is made available for sale by Arsenal, we are convinced that over a dozen clubs will be interested in signing him.

The teenager is among the best players of his age in the world, and he would start for most clubs, including Manchester United.

That is why the Red Devils are interested in signing him (Sky Sports), but Arsenal fans are completely against it.

One supporter tweeted: “I would fully cut ties with the club if this happens.”

Another wrote: “I’m Arteta out if he sells Myles Lewis-Skelly.”

“This is a sackable offence, and I’m not even joking. I would fully cut ties with this club,” said another.

Another posted: “If Arsenal sell a Hale End product to United, then we should be furious. The way Lewis-Skelly has been treated is disgusting!”

“Sack Berta and Arteta if they let this happen,” tweeted another.

Imagine you are Andrea Berta. How will you respond if Manchester United call you to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly?

Selling Myles Lewis-Skelly would be an unforgivable mistake by Arsenal

Lewis-Skelly may not be anywhere near the top of Arteta’s pecking order right now, but that doesn’t mean Arsenal should sell him.

The academy graduate is still only 19 years old and has the potential to become an absolute superstar.

The fact that he can play at left-back and also in midfield makes him an even more exciting prospect, which is why he should be part of the plans going forward.

If Arsenal do the unthinkable and sell Lewis-Skelly this summer, especially to Manchester United, it will be viewed by almost every fan as an unforgivable mistake.

Andrea Berta simply cannot do that this summer.
