Arsenal cruised to victory on match day six of the Champions League with a win over AS Monaco.
Mikel Arteta had more luck than Arsene Wenger following Arsenal’s defeat to Monaco in 2015, overcoming the Gunners’ issue of not converting chances.
On a night that saw Arsenal beat Monaco 3-0, Bukayo Saka shone, scoring twice and setting up Kai Havertz to net the third.
It was also a memorable night for Hale End graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly, who earned his full Champions League debut starting at left-back.

Amid Arsenal’s defensive injury crisis, Arteta called Lewis-Skelly into action, starting the midfielder at left-back.
Despite being a midfielder by trade, the teenager has proven that he’s ready to make the left side of defence his own.
The evidence grew stronger against Monaco as the Arsenal squad congratulated Lewis-Skelly after Saka’s opener following the teenager’s role in making the goal happen.
The Englishman’s talent and drive have carried him to becoming a regular in the first-team squad however, it certainly helps to have the support of many within the dressing room.
Saka shared words of encouragement with Lewis-Skelly before kick-off, which is what William Saliba was also spotted doing.
During the warm-up at the Emirates, Arsenal’s media team captured the centre-back talking to the youngster one-to-one before giving him a firm pat on the back.
It’s not clear what Saliba said to Lewis-Skelly although, whatever it was, it certainly worked as the 18-year-old soared against the Ligue 1 side.
Lewis-Skelly shone brightly against Monaco
French media were impressed by Lewis-Skelly, which was the consensus from all who watched the Hale End graduate sparkle at the Emirates.

The defender only emphasised the searing talent emerging from the academy, with Arsenal fans also applauding Lewis-Skelly for what he showed on the night.
Some young players understandably approach chances in the first team with caution however, that wasn’t the case for the teen, who displayed a fearless showing in front of a home crowd.
EFL Cup, Champions League and Premier League, Lewis-Skelly has made it clear that he can cut it amongst the best in what is an exciting development from Hale End.
