The Champions League is back in midweek as Arsenal look to increase their chances of a top-eight finish in the final games of the league phase.

The Gunners sit just above their opponents on the night, AS Monaco, with a win for either team offering a chance higher up the table while also damaging their closest opposition.

Mikel Arteta has already masterminded three wins and one draw from the opening five matches, though time is running out to rack up points.

Three wins would guarantee a place in the top-eight for Arsenal, which would allow them to avoid playing a two-legged knockout and gives them a space straight into the round of 16.

With such a big game around the corner, here’s a look at the latest injury news ahead of Arsenal vs Monaco.

Latest Arsenal injury news

Jurrien Timber

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is an injury doubt after the star was absent from training the day before the match against AS Monaco.

The versatile star’s potential issue is currently unknown, with Mikel Arteta giving very little away on which players are available for Wednesday.

There is some hope that the Gunners are simply managing the workload of Timber, though it remains to be seen.

Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey is another injury worry as the midfielder, who played at right-back against Fulham, was also absent from training on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ghanaian international had been in the side for most of the campaign, despite previous injury worries in seasons gone by.

It remains to be seen whether Partey is available for the Champions League tie on Wednesday night.

Gabriel Magalhaes

After missing the two previous matches, Gabriel Magalhaes is still an injury concern for Arsenal and is facing a race to return to action.

It was believed that the Brazilian was suffering with a short-term issue, which was outlined by early substitutions against Sporting CP and West Ham.

However, after missing the last two games, Gabriel also missed training on Tuesday, putting his involvement at risk.

Riccardo Calafiori

Defender Riccardo Calafiori is another injury doubt as the star missed out on the previous two clashes as well.

The Italian international was initially having his minutes and workload managed for previous issues he had recovered from.

However, after missing training on Tuesday, there may be concerns that Calafiori is still out with an injury.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko was a surprise absentee for the match against Fulham, following on from his starting place against Manchester United last week.

It was revealed that the defender was suffering from an injury and was another of the players that was missing from training.

Ben White

Ben White is a long-term absentee as the star had to undergo a knee procedure last month, putting him on the sidelines.

The right-back is set for a few months out of action, which should help solve some issues he was suffering with.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Another long-term absentee, Takehiro Tomiyasu has suffered a setback with his recovery from a previous injury.

The defender has spent some time away from Arsenal to help him get back on track and return in the months ahead.
