Arsenal’s chances for Benjamin Sesko transfer

Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Benjamin Sesko in the transfer window, with January just around the corner.

The Gunners were rumoured with a switch back in the summer, but missed out as the striker signed a new deal at RB Leipzig.

Despite a new contract though, there is still an opportunity for clubs to seal a move for the Slovenian international.

Whether it could be in January for Arsenal is unclear, though Fabrizio Romano gave an update when speaking to GIVEMESPORT.

He said: “There are really many, many clubs keen on Sesko. It could be more than five clubs.

“But it’s not a topic for January, the Sesko case will be open again for the summer and that’s when the real suitors can emerge with concrete talks. At this stage, nothing is advanced with any club yet.”

Academy trio in Arsenal training for Ipswich

As Arsenal prepare for the challenge of Ipswich Town, there are some problems for Mikel Arteta to solve within his team.

The right-wing is looking particularly light for the manager, with a few injuries impacting his squad selection.

Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka are set for spells on the sidelines due to injury, which means other options may have to be drafted in.

That includes those from the Hale End academy, with three stars featuring in training ahead of the match on Friday.

Those three were Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Seb Ferdinand and Ismeal Kabia, with the trio all looking to find a place in the squad.

Evan Ferguson to Arsenal transfer latest

Another centre-forward on the radar at Arsenal heading into the January transfer window is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

The forward could be available in the January transfer window, with the Seagulls potentially offering a loan deal.

It comes as the Ireland international has struggled for game time, following an injury he suffered earlier in the year.

With the possibility of a big deal on the cards for Arsenal, transfer expert Ben Jacobs has spoken about the opportunity.

He said to GiveMeSport: “I would keep an eye on Evan Ferguson – a player that, when he was playing regularly for Brighton sort of 18 months or so ago, was very much on Arsenal’s radar.

“But of course, at that point, everyone was speaking like he would have a £80million to £100million price tag. Now I think suitors are waiting to see whether Brighton are prepared to loan or sell Evan Ferguson. I think a loan is probably more likely than a permanent sale.”
