Catch all the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Nico Williams, Gabriel Martinelli and Alexander Isak.
Arsenal are looking to bounce back from their EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle, with another huge game on the horizon.
The Gunners take on Manchester United next up in the FA Cup, with Mikel Arteta looking to put themselves in the conversation for winning silverware this season.
Elsewhere, the transfer window ticks along this month, with Arsenal still being linked with a whole host of players.
So with that said, here’s a look at the big Arsenal news ahead of another busy day.
Nico Williams to Arsenal transfer stumbling block
Arsenal have been linked with a potential transfer for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams in the January transfer window.
The forward has a £50million release clause in his deal, which could see the Gunners trigger an option to sign him.
While reports have stated that Williams could be open to a switch, the reality could be very different for Arsenal.

According to The Athletic, the release clause having to be paid in full and right away is one issue that could impact their PSR.
Add the other issue of his salary and there are doubts over whether a deal could be completed this month.
That, in itself, could make a move in the summer much more likely for the 22-year-old.

Ian Wright discusses Gabriel Martinelli problem
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has discussed difficulties for Gabriel Martinelli, with the winger struggling over the past year.
The forward hasn’t been in great form as of late, with the Brazilian looking isolated when on the left flank over the year.
It was something Wright mentioned when speaking on ITV’s coverage of Arsenal’s clash against Newcastle on Tuesday.

He said: “For me, the way that Saka has produced what he’s produced since the age of 17 is very tough on someone like Martinelli.
“When you look at Saka’s side with Odegaard predominantly on that side, the amount of work that’s pushed down this right-hand side, you do feel that Martinelli misses out a bit.”

Why Arsenal didn’t sign Alexander Isak in 2022
Arsenal have been linked with a potential transfer switch for Alexander Isak for quite a few years, but just haven’t quite managed to get a deal over the line.
The striker has since gone on to impress with Newcastle, but it could’ve been so very different if a move went through in 2022.
Back in his days at Real Sociedad, Arsenal were showing interest but were directed to his £75million release clause for any deal.

The Athletic detailed exactly why Arsenal declined the opportunity to sign the forward, claiming that they felt the fee was too high.
Given that Newcastle now value him at double that is a testament to the impressive scoring form he has found.
It also highlights a missed opportunity for Arsenal to strike.
