Take a look at a round-up of the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Benjamin Sesko, Premier League title claims and Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal handed new Benjamin Sesko transfer chance

Arsenal may have a fresh chance to land striker Benjamin Sesko in the next summer transfer window if recent reports are to be believed.

The Gunners missed out on a chance to sign the forward this summer as he opted to extend his contract at RB Leipzig.

With Mikel Arteta unwilling to enter the market for another centre-forward, the Emirates Stadium didn’t welcome a new striker option as many expected.

Edu Gaspar and his recruitment team have often shown great restraint with transfer opportunities and will wait for the right one to appear.

So that could see Arsenal try again for Sesko next summer if he is back available once again.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via the Daily Briefing, the 21-year-old is expected to be back on the market next summer.

It’s a huge potential boost, not least as the player has previously been described as the “next Erling Haaland”.

David Seaman makes Arsenal Premier League title claim

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman believes that Arsenal can win the Premier League title this season, so long as they avoid injury troubles.

The Gunners came close last time out, narrowly missing out to rivals Manchester City in the race to lift the trophy.

With a summer of improvement and some fresh ideas, Mikel Arteta is now equipped to push Pep Guardiola all the way once again.

For Seaman, he believes that Arsenal can push City all the way this time, saying on AFTV: “We’re back to where we should be and we are contending for a title and the last two seasons have proven that.

“Before that, I remember seeing an Arsenal team celebrating getting fourth, and I was like *grimaces* we’ve dropped quite a little way here from what I was used to.

“It was a great achievement because we got into the Champions League but it was just the way that we celebrated it, I was like, that shows quite a bit about where people are, where the players are in their minds as to where it should be and where it is now.

“So now we are genuine contenders for that title, we are getting better and better and we’re signing better and better players.”

Mikel Arteta hints at Raheem Sterling position

Arsenal’s transfer deadline day deal for Raheem Sterling shook the world of football, as a season-long loan deal from Chelsea was confirmed.

The Gunners are looking to get the 29-year-old back to his very best under Mikel Arteta as part of a bid to win the Premier League title this season.

However, in a recent training video, it appears to hint that the England international will be playing on the right flank.
