Viktor Gyokeres transfer twist for Arsenal
Arsenal have been handed a potential twist in their interest surrounding Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Gunners have been continually linked with a move for the Swedish international, who has impressed since joining the Portuguese outfit.
With goalscoring a clear strength of his, Mikel Arteta could sanction a big-money transfer, but there may be competition.
That comes in the shape of Manchester United, with a former coach of Gyokeres’ in Ruben Amorim recently joining the club.
As reported by The Sun, the Red Devils recently sent a scout out to watch the striker ahead of a potential switch.
It remains to be seen if there will be a war between the two teams over the striker, but there may be a big few months ahead in the race for his signature.

Jude Bellingham responds to Arsenal transfer question
In terms of dream transfers for Arsenal, plenty of fans may suggest Jude Bellingham as an option that may not be wholly realistic right now.
That’s not to rule out a move in the future, though he is currently one of the stars of a Real Madrid team that are fighting to win on all fronts.
A switch to join the Gunners may not be on the cards now, but that didn’t stop one young fan from trying their luck by asking the England international about it.
As shared by ESPN, one supporter asked Bellingham to join Arsenal, to which he responded: “Haha, maybe.”
There will be hopes that a deal could be possible in the future but for now, it seems highly unlikely to go through.

Arsenal approach Luis Campos for Sporting Director role
Arsenal are still on the hunt for a Sporting Director following Edu Gaspar’s resignation in early November that sent shockwaves through the club.
Plenty of different names have been linked with taking the role on, though there seems to be more progress being made on that front.
That’s because, according to Football Transfers, Arsenal have already made an approach for Portuguese executive Luis Campos to join.
The experienced operator is currently working as an advisor to PSG, though his term with them is set to end in the summer.
That could help push through a move for him to join the north London club instead, offering his expertise to take the side onto the next level.
