Arsenal have a number of difficult decisions still to make this summer.
Indeed, while a lot of Arsenal’s incoming transfer business is done, Arsenal have some decisions to make on outgoings.
Leandro Trossard could still leave Arsenal, while Albert Sambi Lokonga is expected to go.
On top of that, Oleksandr Zinchenko has been linked with a move away, while Fabio Vieira’s future remains unclear.
Speaking on the Latte Firm YouTube channel, Adrian Clarke has been discussing Vieira’s situation at Arsenal, and he says the midfielder definitely has to leave this summer.

Fabio Vieira has to leave Arsenal
Clarke spoke about Vieira’s situation, claiming that he definitely has to leave Arsenal this summer.
The 25-year-old spent last season out on loan at Porto, and now, it’s seemingly time for him to depart the Emirates.
“Fabio Vieira definitely has to go. Not every transfer works, not every gamble on a brilliant young talent pays off, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad player, I just don’t think he was ready to play for Arsenal and be a main player for us. I think we probably do need to move him on,” Clarke said.
Fabio Vieira’s stats for Porto
It may be time for Vieira to leave Arsenal this summer, but whoever gets the midfielder will be getting a very talented footballer.
As Clarke says, Vieira is a brilliant young talent, and, in the right environment, he could shine.
Vieira’s stats for Porto last season were impressive, even if they weren’t absolutely incredible.
| Fabio Vieira’s stats for Porto | |
| Games | 26 |
| Goals | 4 |
| Assists | 4 |
| Key passes per game | 1.6 |
| Shots per game | 1.8 |
Unfortunately, it just seems as though Arsenal iswasthe wrong place at the wrong time for Vieira. Martin Odegaard and Ethan Nwaneri provide too much depth in that number 10 role, and that’s before Eberechi Eze potentially arrives.
In another world, Vieira could’ve become a key player for Arsenal, but, sadly it just hasn’t worked out for the Portugal international in north London so far.
