It is no secret that former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere does not like Tottenham Hotspur.

The Englishman has always made his feelings about Spurs clear. He has even got into trouble for some of his chants about the other North London club during the Gunners’ trophy parades.

Now a manager at Luton Town, you might imagine that Wilshere is not following Tottenham, but he seems to be keeping an eye on them potentially getting relegated and becoming one of his opponents next season.

Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere makes Tottenham relegation claim

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are on two different levels right now.

The Gunners are on top of the Premier League, finished above everyone else in the league phase of the Champions League, have made it into the final of the Carabao Cup and are still alive in the FA Cup.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are out of both domestic cup competitions, have almost zero chance of European glory, and, worst of all, are facing a serious relegation threat.

Spurs are just a point above the drop zone, and with away games against Liverpool, Sunderland, Chelsea and Aston Villa still to come, they could go down.

If they do and Luton get promoted, Jack Wilshere’s side will face Tottenham in the Championship next season.

The former Arsenal star was asked if his ‘dream’ is to manage Luton in the English second division and face Spurs there.

He replied, as per Sky Sports: “The dream would be for me to manage Luton in the Championship. I watched a little bit of Tottenham last night.

“I’ve said it a lot of times, and believe it or not, a lot of my family are Tottenham fans, and over the years we had some really good banter about it (Spurs getting relegated).

“At the moment, my dream is to manage Luton in the Championship, and it might be against Tottenham.”

Tottenham face a nightmare scenario because of Arsenal

Tottenham fans are not in a happy place right now.

Spurs have been awful all season, and their performances since the turn of the year make them very likely to get relegated from the Premier League.

That is terrible on its own for Tottenham fans, but what would give them even more pain is Arsenal succeeding.

The Gunners are looking likely to win the Premier League title this season, while Opta have claimed that Arsenal are the favourites to win the Champions League as well.

There is a decent chance that Mikel Arteta’s side could win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup too, which would make this a historic campaign.

The worst possible outcome for Tottenham this season would be getting relegated while Arsenal win the quadruple. That nightmare could come true in the coming months.
