Ian Wright has now made an admission about Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka after his latest Euro 2024 performance.
Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka was able to keep England’s Euro 2024 dream alive with his heroics against Switzerland on Saturday. With the Three Lions in need of an equaliser, Saka was able to pick out the bottom corner in the 80th minute with a strike from range.
When a penalty shootout was required to separate the two teams, Saka once again stepped up. The 22-year-old made no mistake from the spot, helping to fire the Three Lions into the semi-finals.
Arsenal fans heaped praise on Saka for his display against Switzerland, and the Hale End academy graduate is certainly deserving of all the plaudits heading his way at the moment.
Manchester United icon Gary Neville is even convinced that Saka has transcended club rivalries, and now holds a place in the heart of all England supporters.
Now, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has shared his honest thoughts about the player.

Ian Wright delivers honest assessment of Arsenal star Bukayo Saka
Wright has been delighted by Saka’s recent form, and is clearly enjoying seeing the Arsenal man thrive on the biggest stage.
Speaking on his Wrighty’s House podcast, he said: “I am so pleased. His performances for England since he has been in there, it’s very, very difficult to point your finger at him and say he has not performed like other people have performed below par. The journey he has been on from the missed penalty to now is just an unbelievable trajectory of positivity.”
As a team, England did improve somewhat against Switzerland. Whilst they hardly dazzled or tore their opponents apart, there was a greater sense of cohesion than Gareth Southgate’s side had been able to muster up earlier in their Euro 2024 campaign.
Saka was deployed as a right-wing-back for this match, but was still able to produce in the final third, despite his slightly more defensive remit.
Meanwhile, Saka’s Arsenal teammate Declan Rice was also able to impress in the middle of the park, serving as a shield to protect the England rearguard.
