Kai Havertz came off injured once again during Arsenal’s win over Newcastle to put further fear into the club’s supporters that their title race is derailing.

Havertz looked in plenty of discomfort as he was withdrawn early on and initial suggestions looked like it could be serious.

However, after Havertz was noticed in good spirits at full-time, it appears that things might not be too bad for the Gunners after all.

Kai Havertz injury update after he came off against Newcastle

Given the tense nature of this title race at the minute, Arsenal can ill afford to lose key players like Havertz right now.

Of course, it’s impossible to tell exactly how bad any problem the German might have is.

However, the respected Arsenal social account ‘HandOfArsenal’ has issued an update this evening suggesting it could be good news for Arsenal and Havertz.

Should Havertz be fit, then it represents a huge boost for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners boss has clearly given Havertz preference over Viktor Gyokeres in recent weeks and down the home stretch, it’s obvious Arteta sees the German forward as a key cog.

Of course, with no actual confirmation of such an injury as yet, it might be that Viktor Gyokeres is called upon once again in the next few games.

Still, if Havertz can miss a minimal amount of time and at least feature between now and the end of May, then that is a huge boost for the Gunners.
