Kai Havertz went off injured for Arsenal in the big win over Newcastle United today and it looked like being a worrying injury for the German.
Havertz looked in some discomfort as he was replaced early on and Mikel Arteta admitted afterwards they are waiting to find out the extent of his issue.
However, while Arsenal fans will be holding their breath over the severity of Havertz’s injury, there was some potentially good news from the Sky Sports team at pitchside.

Kai Havertz looking ‘relaxed’ after injury scare v Newcastle United
Seeing Havertz go down again after a season riddled with injury problems was a concern.
Still, it might not be the end of the world in terms of his actual injury and watching Havertz after the game finished, Sky’s Dave Jones noted the German appeared to be moving quite freely.
“He took Havertz off as well. And Kai Havertz actually was just walking out here and chatting with people very freely and looked quite relaxed. And we’re not doctors. We’re not doctors,” Jones revealed.
“But who knows whether they have lost him or indeed, they will be fine, maybe for Madrid because they’ve still got a game in the week and then another big game next week, then another big game the following midweek, so they have to manage their moments as well.”
Arsenal cannot afford another Kai Havertz injury problem
There’s so much left to play for and every game is now so massive for Arsenal that they very much need every single player they’ve got fit and well.
With Kai Havertz, he’s clearly a player who Mikel Arteta holds in high regard. Despite Viktor Gyokeres’ good season, Havertz has been selected as the main striker in some big games recently.
With two crucial Champions League games and four more league games to come, the Gunners can ill-afford anyone being injured. Especially a player as good as Havertz.
This week will be a big one. If Havertz and Ebere Eze are both injured, then Arsenal’s win over Newcastle will have come at quite the cost.
