Arsenal have some fresh injury concerns to deal with after their North London Derby win over Tottenham on Sunday.

The Gunners have surpassed the first hurdle of their tough week, with Gabriel Magalhaes’ header being the difference in the clash.

Now Arsenal have that North London Derby win they craved, attention will turn towards the Champions League, where they face Atalanta.

Just on the horizon, beyond that game, is the Premier League title clash with Manchester City, which will be a tough one to prepare for.

Even more so with some new injury concerns at the feet of Mikel Arteta, which may see some big decisions made yet again.

Bukayo Saka

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka couldn’t carry on in the North London Derby as he appeared to suffer a potential muscle issue.

The Gunners will be hoping it’s just fatigue for the winger, with Arteta giving little away over his situation after the game.

“I don’t know,” he told the press. “I made two changes with the front players and suddenly he’s down. I don’t know exactly what it is but he could not continue.”

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zinchenko missed out on the North London Derby through injury, coming as a huge blow to the side.

The Ukrainian international suffered a calf issue heading into the tie, with no update on how long the defender could be out for.

Martin Odegaard

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway, making him a doubt for the North London Derby.

The midfielder did miss out through that issue, with Arteta discussing that problem after the match.

“Martin we still have to wait and see. He wasn’t available today,” the Arsenal boss told the press after the game.

Riccardo Calafiori

After suffering a freak injury on international duty with Italy, Riccardo Calafiori missed out on the clash against Tottenham.

Mikel Merino

Summer signing Mikel Merino is out of action with a shoulder injury that is set to keep him out until October at the earliest.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is out with a knee issue, with an expectation that he will return in the next few weeks.

Kieran Tierney

Defender Kieran Tierney is yet to be in an Arsenal squad this season, suffering from a thigh injury over the summer.
