The latest Arsenal injury news as the Gunners prepare for a huge clash against London rivals West Ham in the Premier League.
Arsenal will be hopeful of continuing their momentum in the Premier League title race when they face London rivals West Ham up next. The Gunners ran out victorious against Liverpool last time out, in a top of the table match declared as “must win” for the north London outfit.
The impact on the league has been clear as the sides chasing silverware have begun to bunch up, with only a few points separating them all. Wins for Liverpool and Manchester City over the weekend mean that Arsenal will need to keep pace in their own fixture.
The clash with rivals West Ham could prove a tricky test, with David Moyes well known for setting up a stubborn defence that’s hard to break down. The Hammers are eighth, with European qualification in their sights.
With such a difficult match on the cards, Arsenal will be hopeful of calling upon the squad to get the job done. There are a few injury doubts beforehand though, which could cause their own issues for Mikel Arteta.
With that said, here’s a look at the latest injury news for Arsenal before their clash with West Ham.

Arsenal injury list
Arsenal have a number of potential injury issues heading into the clash with West Ham, with as many as seven players labelled a doubt. Thomas Partey, Fabio Vieira and Jurrien Timber have been long-term absentees for the squad.
Takehiro Tomiyasu could return to the squad following Japan’s exit from the AFC Asian Cup tournament. Gabriel Jesus missed out the clash with Liverpool, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Bukayo Saka appeared to pick up knocks in the match.
Bukayo Saka injury latest
One of Arsenal’s standout performers again this season, Bukayo Saka has been one of the driving forces behind the side making their title push. The England international scored the opener against Liverpool last time out, but failed to play the full match after picking up a slight knock.
Fortunately for Arteta, it seems as though the winger is back in contention as he told the press, via Arsenal.com: “He’s [Saka] been recovering this week and he looks OK.”
Expected return date: West Ham (A) – February 11.

Oleksandr Zinchenko injury latest
Oleksandr Zinchenko was another player that started against Liverpool, but was unable to play through the full match. The left-back was substituted at half-time for Jakub Kiwior, with Arteta later revealed it was due to a calf problem.
When asked about a return for the Ukrainian international, Arteta appeared hopeful of a few returns as he told the press: “We have a few still in contention. They’ve been evolving really well, so tomorrow we’ll have another training session. We’re hopeful we’re going to have a few back and that we can put out a very competitive squad out there.”
Expected return date: West Ham (A) – February 11.
Takehiro Tomiyasu injury latest
Takehiro Tomiyasu could make his return to action for Arsenal against West Ham, following a spell away on international duty. With Japan’s exit from the AFC Asian Cup, the defender may be back in contention for a start.
The condition of the defender is unknown as of yet, which means that some caution may be taken to giving him minutes right away.
Expected return date: West Ham (A) – February 11.

Gabriel Jesus injury latest
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus missed out on the match against Liverpool after it was revealed that he had picked up a slight knee issue. The Brazilian had previously injured his knee, which saw him miss a few games before returning against Nottingham Forest, before the issue reoccurred.
There is uncertainty over his status as when pressed for an update, Arteta simply told the media: “No update.”
Expected return date: Unknown.
Thomas Partey injury latest
Thomas Partey has missed the majority of the season for Arsenal through a thigh injury, which has suffered many setbacks. A procedure was required as part of the recovery, before another issue pushed his return date back from January.
Arteta believes the midfielder is making progress, but cannot pinpoint when he will be involved again. “He’s progressing really well but it’s a bit too soon to tell you exactly when we’re going to have him back,” the Arsenal boss told the media.
Expected return date: Unknown.

Fabio Vieira injury latest
Fabio Vieira has been missing from action since November 2023, with a groin injury keeping him on the sidelines. The Portuguese midfielder has appeared back in training, but didn’t feature on the bench against Liverpool last time out.
Expected return date: West Ham (A) – February 11.
Jurrien Timber injury latest
Jurrien Timber’s Arsenal debut ended in terrible circumstances after he was forced off with a serious knee injury. The summer signing would be sidelined for the majority of the campaign, but there’s some hope he may return.
The Dutch international has been registered as part of the Champions League squad, bringing about hope that a return could be on the cards. The defender has also started to step up recovery, with some training.
Expected return: FC Porto (H) – March 12.
