Mikel Arteta reveals Arsenal team news and injury latest
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given an update surrounding his team news heading into the clash with Brighton over the weekend.
The Gunners have strung together three wins on the bounce, knowing a fourth could help put the pressure on rivals Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
He will be boosted further by the return of Kai Havertz, who suffered illness last time out, while others are still far from returning.
Arteta told the media: “Yeah [Havertz will be available], I think so yeah.”

When asked about the rest of the squad, he responded: “If they train today, they should be fine… I think he’s [Sterling] starting to do some stuff on the pitch. Let’s see how he progresses next week.
“Ben [White] still a few weeks away, Tomi [Takehiro Tomiyasu] has done some stuff on the pitch, it’s been a long term injury and now we will see how he reacts.”

Leroy Sane to Arsenal transfer latest
Arsenal have been linked with a potential transfer for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane in the January transfer window.
The former Manchester City star is into the final six months of his contract in Bavaria, allowing for a pre-contract deal to be signed.
With doubts over his future, an update from journalist Florian Plettenberg reveals that Galatasaray have joined the race for Sane.
However, despite that interest, the 28-year-old is looking to seal a brand new contract at Bayern Munich – though the bosses aren’t quite as convinced.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can still seal a deal or not in the coming weeks.

Eddie Howe discusses Alexander Isak to Arsenal transfer
Alexander Isak continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, after former player Paul Merson suggested his old side should break the bank to land him.
The striker is claimed to be valued at £150million, making a move in January unlikely, despite the interest.

When asked about the comments, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe told the press: “It’s the first time I’ve heard of [Merson’s claims] so I need to see the comments…
“Our players are loved by us and wanted by us. Their focus can only be on the here and now. I don’t see it being an issue for us, especially in this transfer window. The players are very focused.”
