Arsenal stance on Thomas Partey contract
The future of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is currently uncertain as he nears the final six months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Ghanaian international impressed after making the switch from Atletico Madrid, but injury issues hampered his playing time over the past few seasons.
His return to fitness has been important for Mikel Arteta, using him both in the midfield and at right-back if required.

With speculation surrounding his future, Arsenal Insider understands that the club want to keep Partey beyond his current deal.
The current thinking surrounds a potential two-year extension, with the midfielder currently happy with life in London.

Ruben Amorim could look at Arsenal revenge with Man United
Manchester United look set to make their next big managerial appointment by landing Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP.
The 39-year-old has caught the attention of many with his work over in Portugal, winning the league title and domestic cup competition several times.
It’s a move that Arsenal will be watching intently to see if their old rivals will be back in contention at the top of the league.

One of the first tasks that Amorim will have is taking on the Gunners in early December, where he could enact revenge.
That’s because the manager was embarrassed by Arsenal during his playing days, having lost 5-1 in a defeat when he featured for Benfica.

Patrice Evra makes fresh joke at Arsenal
Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has taken aim at Arsenal when discussing the club’s Premier League title hopes.
The Gunners are currently four points behind Liverpool and five points behind leaders Manchester City, with work to be done in order to catch both.
With that in mind, Mikel Arteta cannot afford to slip in the coming weeks, with some important fixtures around the corner.
While fans are still hoping and expecting the best, that hasn’t stopped Evra from taking a jab at the club and the fanbase.
In a recent appearance on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, the former defender said: “I keep saying to all of my Arsenal friends, and I respect Arsenal, watching Arsenal is watching Netflix you know, you’re always waiting for the next season.
“Trust me, every season is going to be like that,” he added as Ferdinand appeared to be laughing over the comment.
