Arsenal are strong favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are nine points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, albeit Pep Guardiola’s side have played a game fewer, and are in great form to go all the way.

David Raya has been a big part of Arsenal’s title charge, and he has now made two promises if his side win the Premier League.

One of them is going nearly bald.

How many trophies will Arsenal win in the 2025/26 season?

David Raya vows to get tattoos and go ‘bald’ if Arsenal win the Premier League

Arsenal have found themselves in a spectacular position right now.

Being on track to win the Premier League is an exceptional achievement on its own, but the Gunners are the favourites to lift the Champions League as well.

Furthermore, Arsenal will face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday and could potentially meet them again in the FA Cup.

The quadruple is definitely on, but the priority is the Premier League, and Raya is desperate to get his hands on the English football crown.

The Spaniard has been doing his bit on the pitch, but he is prepared to take it a step further if the Gunners get over the line.

In an interview on Sky Sports, Raya was asked if he would get a new tattoo or a different hairstyle if Arsenal won the Premier League title this season.

He replied: “Tattoos for sure. Something related to the trophies and everything. Haircuts, I don’t know. I might just go bald. I don’t know.”

Adam Smith wanted to make sure he wasn’t joking and asked: “Sorry. Can we get this on the camera? If Arsenal win the Premier League, you’re going bald?”

Raya said: “Yeah, I’ll trim it. I’ll trim it to one. Yeah.”

Other footballers who have made similar promises

Raya is not the first one to make such a promise ahead of potentially winning the title, and he certainly won’t be the last.

Back in 2018, former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud made a bet to shave his head if France won the World Cup, and he honoured it.

Real Madrid icons Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal made promises in 2014. The midfielder agreed to cut his long locks if Los Blancos won the Champions League, while the Spaniard said he would grow out his beard.

Again, both players honoured their promises.

It will be interesting to see if Raya will do what he has agreed as well if Arsenal go on to lift the Premier League title in May.
