The World Cup is now done and dusted and today it’s back to the daily grind for many of Arsenal’s players.
While the likes of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka will return later after going deep into the tournament and the Spanish trio of Merino, Raya and Zubimendi all ended up World Cup winners, a bulk of the squad returned to London Colney today.
Among the players to return were loanees from last season like Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson, while a few of Arsenal’s injured contingent also checked in.
Interestingly for Arsenal fans, some of the players shared how their summer had gone on arrival.
And in the case of Ben White, he shared some much-needed news for both he and Mikel Arteta.

Ben White says he’s completely over his latest injury
For some, Ben White’s Arsenal career might be done and dusted but with William Saliba set to miss a long period of the season, White might end up sticking around.
Indeed, he might well have made the England squad had it not been for another knee injury.
Now, though, it appears White is fit and raring to go and speaking on his arrival back at London Colney, he delivered the news everyone wanted to hear.
“I’ve been training every day,” White admitted.
“The knee is all good. I started training with the rest of the team last week so, yeah, all good.”
Ben White can still play a major part for Arsenal next season
While there are expected to be incomings and outgoings at Arsenal this summer, Ben White might well end up being one of those who benefits from Saliba’s injury.
White’s ability to play both right-back, centre-back, and even in midfield if needed, should serve him well, especially when it comes to the middle of the back four.
Arsenal are scouring the market for short-term options with John Stones among those mentioned as a potential signing.
However, simply moving Ben White into the centre of defence and spending money and wages elsewhere might well be the best bet.
For White, it could well be another chance to impress. And if he does, he could well end up saving the Gunners a pretty penny in fees this summer.
