Arsenal are working very hard to prepare for the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, and there is some good news ahead of the game.
The Gunners are desperate to end their trophy drought, and the game at Wembley on Sunday gives Mikel Arteta’s side the perfect opportunity to get over the line.
Ahead of the game, Arsenal have some good news coming their way regarding Martin Odegaard.
Early predictions, who will come out on top when Arsenal face Man City at Wembley?
Martin Odegaard is back in training ahead of Arsenal vs Manchester City Carabao Cup final
Arsenal captain Odegaard has had a torrid season with injuries.
After initial problems with his shoulder, the Norwegian has been struggling with a knee issue that has kept him out for quite some time.
Odegaard was a doubt for the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, but that may no longer be the case.
On Saturday, one day before the final, Arsenal released some pictures from their training session on Instagram.
Odegaard can be seen in one of those images walking out onto the Sobha Realty Training Centre pitch.
That is a massive boost for the Gunners as the former Real Madrid man is one of their most important players when he is at his best.
It is still unclear if Odegaard will be fit enough to start, but the fact that he trained with the first-team squad suggests that he will be in the squad.
That could make a big difference against Manchester City at Wembley.
Call it now, will Mikel Arteta’s record be intact after the Carabao Cup final?
Two other Arsenal stars are also back from injury
Odegaard was not the only injury concern going into the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Jurrien Timber missed the last game due to injury, while Eberechi Eze also went down with an issue during the game against Bayer Leverkusen.
Eze was nowhere to be seen in training pictures on Friday, but the Englishman, along with Timber, was spotted in training on Saturday.
One can assume that both players are fit enough to play against Manchester City, which makes the Gunners nearly full strength.
Mikel Merino is the only absentee due to his season-ending foot injury.
