Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri is one of the most exciting prospects to come through the Hale End Academy in recent years.

The midfielder has shone when included in the first-team, with Nwaneri enjoying an outstanding pre-season campaign under Mikel Arteta, and is now set for an increased first-team role this season.

Arsenal have secured the future of Nwaneri, and also made him the youngest-ever Premier League player two years ago. He is still just 17, but fans are now well aware of the remarkable talent he possesses.

Arsenal scout Joe Black knows Nwaneri particularly well, and he has now explained why he thinks the teenager will reach the very top of the game.

Speaking to Rising Ballers, Black praised Nwaneri’s mentality, and explained why he is so impressed with his composure at such a young age.

“I think the thing that impresses me the most about him is his temperament. He is very, very grounded and I think for me that’s key to learning and getting better, not believing the hype, even though there’s a lot of hype around him,” he stated.

“I don’t think it affects him negatively, and yeah he’s just so calm and composed, and he’s just got that determination in his eyes, and I can’t put a phrase on it, but he just seems like he’s destined to go all the way.”

Ethan Nwaneri’s composure will help him succeed at Arsenal

A lot of talented players have come through the Arsenal academy, but not all of them end up succeeding, and Nwaneri must remain grounded as he continues his remarkable development.

Charlie Patino was once in Nwaneri’s shoes as Hale End’s top starlet, but Patino will now move to Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish Second Division, and this shows the difficulty it takes to succeed at the top level.

Nwaneri has been nothing short of impressive, both in his performances and mentality, and he does not look out of place at all alongside first-team superstars.

The next step will be to break into the team for Premier League games and continue to improve, but Arsenal will be delighted with the level-headedness he has shown so far.
