Catch all the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Kai Havertz injury, Gabriel Martinelli contract and free agents.

Arsenal are back from their trip to Dubai, with the players rested and recharged ahead of the final sprint of the season.

The Gunners take on Leicester City in the Premier League, looking to add another three points to their tally in the division.

While that is the aim, there has been some far-from-ideal injury news filtering through for Mikel Arteta.

So with that said, here’s a look at the biggest Arsenal news ahead of the day.

Arsenal handed Kai Havertz injury timeline

Arsenal star Kai Havertz is a fresh injury concern following the trip to Dubai, with the star suspected of picking up an issue in training.

The forward was missing from training pictures over the final two days, with suspicion arising over his availability.

That issue has been clarified now as the Athletic reports that Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring tear.

It comes as a major blow to the Gunners, who will now be without a recognised centre-forward for the remainder of the campaign.

Gabriel Martinelli contract talks started

After the January transfer window, Arsenal have looked to address some concerns within the squad when it comes to contracts.

The Gunners have a few stars with dwindling deals that need to have decisions made over their futures soon.

Among those is Gabriel Martinelli, who has two years remaining on his deal, with a reported option of a third.

That said, GiveMeSport reports that talks are underway with the Brazilian over the possibility of an extended stay.

Martinelli is viewed as an option for the long-term, with plenty of his best years still ahead of him.

Arsenal stance on free agent striker options

Arsenal are not considering the opportunity to enter the free agent market to sign a new striker, Arsenal Insider sources understand.

It comes as the Gunners lack a recognised centre-forward option, following on from the loss of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus to injury.

Some have speculated the chance of signing a free agent, though the current options available remain extremely unlikely to join the club.

Arsenal are looking at internal solutions, and there is a possibility stars could feature out-of-position if required.
