Former Liverpool player Stephen Warnock has accused Kai Havertz of cheating after the Arsenal forward’s dive against Brentford.
The Germany international has attracted criticism in recent days after being seen diving against the Bees on Saturday despite being on a yellow card, with Havertz going on to score the winner for Arsenal.
The incident has attracted criticism from the likes of Thomas Frank, and whilst Havertz’s initial yellow card was as soft as they come, there’s no denying that the Arsenal star was lucky not to be booked a second time.

And speaking on the 2 Robbies, Warnock, alongside Robbie Mustoe, was critical of Havertz’s dive against Brentford, with both pundits agreeing the Arsenal forward shouldn’t have gone down so easily.
Mustoe said when talking about Havertz’s dive against Brentford: “We’ve got a zillion cameras with different angles and looks, he went to ground.
“I hope that’s not sitting on the fence, I have no problem with the decision on the field, but looking back, he dives and goes to ground way too easy.”
Former Liverpool man Warnock added: “It’s cheating, you’ve got to give him a yellow card off the back of VAR for simulation, we’ve got to stamp it out.”

As Arsenal fans, we are naturally relieved that the incompetence of Premier League referees actually came out to help us for once with Havertz avoiding a second yellow for a dive.
Yet there’s no tip-toeing around the fact that the 24-year-old was lucky, and diving is something that shouldn’t be allowed to fester in this Arsenal squad.
Indeed, it’s the second time Havertz has been spotted diving this season after almost winning a penalty earlier in the campaign against Manchester United, and the German needs to put a stop to such antics.
