Bukayo Saka had a difficult 2024/25 season at Arsenal.
The Englishman is one of the Gunners’ most important players. He has been fantastic for many years, but he had his first big setback last term.
Saka suffered a serious hamstring injury that kept him out of the side for three months, and many feel that is the reason why Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title.
Going yet another season without any silverware has been painful for everyone associated with Arsenal, and Saka is no different.
But, one thing hurt the England international even more.
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was hurt after seeing what Tottenham have done
Tottenham are nowhere near Arsenal’s level.
Spurs finished 15 places and 36 points below the Gunners in the Premier League last season and were beaten in both North London Derbies.
Everyone who knows football will tell you that Arsenal are levels above Tottenham, but Ange Postecoglou’s side did one thing last season that Mikel Arteta couldn’t – win a trophy.
Spurs won the Europa League by beating Manchester United in what was the most uneventful final we’ve ever seen.
It was a shocking game of football, but Tottenham came out on top in the end and lifted their first piece of silverware in over 17 years.
While speaking to the media, Bukayo Saka was asked about Spurs winning the Europa League and if it ‘hurt’ him being an Arsenal man.
He replied, as per iNews: “Yes, of course, naturally, because you want that to be you.”

Why Saka shouldn’t be too upset about Tottenham winning the Europa League
It is not great for any Arsenal fan to see Tottenham winning anything.
But, the Europa League in a season where teams from the Champions League didn’t drop down into the competition makes it an easy trophy to win, especially for an English side.
Besides, Arsenal made way more prize money than Tottenham, even though it was the latter who won a trophy and not the Gunners.
Yes, we don’t like seeing Spurs win, but Saka and every Gooner shouldn’t be too upset as it’s a competition that Arsenal, by definition, were too good to be a part of.
The Gunners are fighting for bigger and better things.
