Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus and one Manchester City player have congratulated David Raya after Spain Euro 2024 triumph.
Spain beat England in Berlin on Sunday evening to win Euro 2024.
There was plenty of Arsenal interest in this clash. Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka started for England, whilst goalkeeping duo Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya sat on the bench for the Three Lions and Spain, respectively.
It was a disappointing evening for Gareth Southgate’s side, as they fell to defeat in a second successive Euros final, having lost on penalties against Italy last time around. England fans felt that Rice underperformed, whilst Saka struggled to get into the game.
Instead, it was to be Raya’s night of glory. Whilst the 28-year-old did not play in the final, he was handed a game earlier in the competition, and was an important figure within the squad. Fans were impressed by Raya when he did play at Euro 2024, too.

Rodri and Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus hail David Raya after Euro 2024 triumph
Raya has today taken to Instagram to post pictures of himself posing with the trophy. Arsenal attacker Gabriel Jesus was quick to respond with a message that reads: “Congratulations David,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Spain teammate and Manchester City star, Rodri, who started the final last night, also replied with a goalkeeper glove emoji and a red heart emoji.
Mikel Arteta ready to welcome back Euro 2024 finalists to Arsenal
Raya, just like Saka, Rice, and Ramsdale, will now be afforded an extra break before reporting back to Arsenal.
Mikel Areta will be pleased on behalf of the goalkeeper, and above all will be pleased to have seen all his players come through the competition unscathed, barring Kieran Tierney who sustained an injury during the group stages.
Arteta is already planning for how to reintegrate Saka, Rice, and Raya, as all three will play a key role for the Gunners in the upcoming campaign.
