Despite his growing reputation of being wasteful in front of goal, Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus does now hold an incredibly impressive record.

Jesus has been brilliant since he signed for Arsenal, a player who already holds four Premier League medals.

However, he’s recently been categorised as a striker who can’t score the goals to lead Arsenal to a title – at least that’s what a lot of pundits will protest.

Given he is now able to add to his record at Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus (23) now has more Champions League goals than a host of high profile Brazilian players.

Jesus is ahead of Roberto Firmino (22), Romario (20), Ronaldinho (18) and Ronaldo (14).

Not bad for a striker who doesn’t take his chances.

Jesus’ ability in front of goal is now massively underrated by a lot of football fans, who seem to have pushed this narrative whilst the Brazilian has been injured.

Eddie Nketiah’s inconsistencies in front of goal have almost fed into the idea that Jesus is similarly unable to lead the line for Arsenal.

However, it seems to be forgotten just how brilliant Arsenal were playing in the first half of last season when Jesus was fully fit.

Arsenal are often linked with Ivan Toney as a saviour for their goal-scoring woes.
