Bukayo Saka’s impressive Arsenal stats

Arsenal fans know just how good Bukayo Saka is, but his recent form is even sitting there amongst some of the best in the history of the club.

The winger has already his double figures for assists in the league, while his scoring is showing little sign of slowing down.

In the victory over West Ham at the weekend, Saka managed to break even more records as he scored and assisted yet again.

It was the third consecutive game he managed to do that for the Gunners, putting him up there with some of the very best.

That run of games was the first time three consecutive goal and assist games were registered for an Arsenal player since Cesc Fabregas late in 2007.

It demonstrates just how good Saka is during a time where Mikel Arteta has needed his very best players to step up.

Martin Odegaard explains what he did during injury break

Arsenal have looked like a team revitalised again since Martin Odegaard has returned back into the side in recent weeks.

The club captain was missing for roughly two months of action after picking up an ankle injury while on international duty with Norway.

Now back in the team, Odegaard has been at the heart of everything good for the side, including three recent games with 13 goals racked up for the team.

He will be looking to kick on and score and assist more in the games up ahead, but he explained how his injury actually helped him.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he revealed: “I wouldn’t prefer to have an injury, but when it happens you have to use it in a good way.

“There can be positive things, you can look at your team in a different way, you can learn more about your team, you can see it from a different angle.

“I also had a lot of time to work in the gym, a lot of time to work on other parts of my body… You have to use it in a good way, and I feel like that’s what I’ve done.”

Mikel Arteta praises Leandro Trossard display vs West Ham

Mikel Arteta has lavished praise on Arsenal ace Leandro Trossard after his display in the win over West Ham at the weekend.

There has been some questions over the Belgian’s form in recent weeks, with his impact and goals starting to dry up.

He responded in fine fashion with a few goals, including one against West Ham, leading to some praise for his performances.

Speaking to the press, he said: “Yeah and scoring. The fact that they know that everyone is on their toes, everybody has to elevate the level and earn the right to play and when you have the chances the moment to talk. That’s what they are doing.”
