Arsenal are currently down to just four fit attacking options as the squad looks to rejuvenate themselves on a mid-season break to Dubai.

Gabriel Martinelli is out for over a month with a hamstring injury, which leaves Mikel Arteta with just four fit forwards and one of those being the struggling Raheem Sterling.

Fans have reacted positively to Bukayo Saka’s latest training pictures however, eagle-eyed Arsenal fans have noticed a worrying omission from the latest set of photos posted by the club.

According to some fans who were in attendance at Arsenal’s training session, there was an injury concern to a key player and the latest absence from training photos has further ignited fear of a problem.

Kai Havertz not spotted in Arsenal training amid injury concern

Kai Havertz was injured in Arsenal training according to some fans who were in attendance at the session in Dubai and has not been pictured in the latest training photos from the club.

Whilst it is unclear as to whether there is an issue for Havertz, the news will be of great concern to Arsenal supporters with the current injury crisis in forward areas.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus are also absent alongside Martinelli and any problem with the German striker would really leave Arteta scratching around for options up top.

Fans were already expressing their disbelief and worry at the news, with one Arsenal fan on X stating: “But we declined Watkins deal for £60m… reap what you sow… no sympathy if true.”

Havertz injury would leave Arteta with just three fit forwards

If Havertz is injured, it would be the biggest blow to Arteta yet this season with the German having lead the line all season for the Gunners.

The manager would be left with Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard alongside Sterling, who is suffering massively from a lack of confidence and form.

Sterling must take responsibility for Arsenal in these final few months of the season as his experience and quality is going to be needed to overcome an injury crisis and hectic schedule.

Everybody associated with the club will be hoping for good news regarding Havertz, otherwise Arsenal’s task of overcoming Liverpool in the Premier League may just have been made mere impossible.
