Being compared to Lionel Messi at any point in your career must feel incredible and Arsenal have been told they very much have someone of a similar ilk in their ranks.
The Gunners have a number of talents in attacking areas and while nobody is saying they are close to Messi’s level, they do have quality.
Of course, the obvious names to look at are the likes of Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Indeed, according to international teammate Sander Berge, Odegaard does indeed have a bit of Messi about him.

Sander Berge says why Martin Odegaard is a bit like Lionel Messi
Every Arsenal fan knows how good Martin Odegaard has been and on his day, he is one of the best in the world.
As a teenager, he was probably on a par with Messi in terms of pure talent and over time they’ve gone down their own paths.

However, Sander Berge believes Odegaard isn’t too dissimilar to Messi after picking the Argentinian as the ideal teammate.
“Ah well, Messi, I’d love to bring him in after the last World Cup and I guess he’s got one more in him, so yeah, Messi. Get him on the pitch, he would have been incredible,” Berge said.
Quizzed on the thought of Messi and Haaland together, Berge suggested they aren’t far away with having Odegaard.
“We have Martin though, which is a sort of similar vibe to him. But yeah, I could add him as well.”
While Odegaard might not have had the career that Messi has or got to the level he has, there is no doubting his influence on this Arsenal team.
When it mattered at crunch time this season in the run-in, Odegaard delivered.
If he can continue to do that and bring Arsenal more trophies, then he can look back when he does finish up on a career well done.
