Arsenal starlet Charlie Patino has been earning rave reviews in his loan spell at Championship side Swansea City, and it is clear that he has a bright future ahead of him.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Blackpool, and returned to the second division to gain first-team experience whilst he is developing physically.
Patino was regarded as one of the best prospects in Arsenal’s Hale End academy, and fans are excited about his potential to eventually join the first team under Mikel Arteta.
One of his teammates at Swansea has now gone out of his way to praise Patino, and explained why the midfielder has such high potential.
Charlie Patino praised by Swansea teammate
Swansea attacking midfielder Jamie Paterson has singled Patino out for praise, and highlighted his best qualities.
“He’s a really tidy player,” he said. “Very technical and works hard off the ball as well,” Paterson told The 72 of Patino.
“To be of that age and show the composure on the ball that he does, shows that he’s got a good future ahead of him.”
Does Charlie Patino have a future at Arsenal?

If Patino continues his fine form at Swansea, which has seen him score once and provide four assists in 12 games, then there could be room for him at Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta recently claimed that if Patino wants to succeed at Arsenal, there will be a pathway to action available for him, and with Thomas Partey potentially leaving soon, there may be space in midfield.
Arsenal have had a few issues in midfield following the departure of Granit Xhaka, and Patino could be a long-term solution to help link the defence and attack with his excellent passing ability and strong vision.
Arteta will be keeping a close eye on Patino, who has been praised by multiple players and coaches who have worked with him in the past.
