Bukayo Saka helped Arsenal pick up a fantastic 5-1 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.
The Englishman, in many people’s eyes, is the Gunners’ best player. He has been magnificent for them for many years now, and he showed his class once again on Tuesday night.
Saka assisted Kai Havertz’s goal in the first half before scoring one on his own after the break. He was a constant threat throughout the game and made life really difficult for Sporting’s defenders.
Portugal’s media are amazed by Saka. Now, a very impressive stat about the Arsenal number seven has emerged.

Bukayo Saka outranks Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in Champions League stat
Saka is a superstar!
The 23-year-old has improved in every single season since he made his debut at Arsenal, and he has had a brilliant start to this campaign as well.
In 15 games in the Premier League and the Champions League this term, Saka has scored six goals and provided nine assists so far.
That is a very impressive return, and a stat has now emerged about the Arsenal number seven that puts him above every player who has played over 10 games in the history of the Champions League.
Opta’s Tom Ede has revealed that Saka has both scored and assisted a goal in four of his 13 Champions League games – that means he has achieved that feat in 31 per cent of his games in the competition.
That’s the highest percentage of any player in Champions League history – even more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The sample size for Saka is very small compared to other stars who have achieved great things in the Champions League. But, you can’t take anything away from the Arsenal man – he has been brilliant.

Saka could break Thierry Henry’s record
The Champions League is not the only competition in which Saka is thriving, he has been great in the Premier League this season as well.
The 23-year-old has scored only four goals, but he has eight assists to his name – more than any other player in the English top flight.
Arsenal will still play 26 games in the league this season. In those fixtures, if he manages to provide 13 assists – one assist every two games – Saka will break Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s Premier League record for most assists in a single season.
We think the England star is more than capable of achieving that feat in the next few months.
