It’s Bournemouth vs Arsenal in the Premier League this afternoon, and here’s our predicted XI.
The Gunners go into the game on the back of a hard-fought win over Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. We expect Mikel Arteta to make seven changes from that fixture when Arsenal take on Bournemouth today.
Predicted Arsenal XI vs Bournemouth
Arsenal have plenty of injury issues at the moment.
Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey are both ruled out, while Arteta claimed in his press conference that Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli hadn’t trained all week until yesterday. He revealed that William Saliba and Fabio Vieira had also picked up knocks.
However, a video of the Arsenal squad arriving in Bournemouth yesterday showed us that Saka had travelled with the squad, while reports have confirmed that Rice and Saliba have also made it.
We expect all three of them to start today – here’s our predicted XI:
David Raya comes back in to replace Aaron Ramsdale in goal, while Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Toiyasu make way for Oleksandr Zinchenko and Saliba respectively. Ben White and Gabriel keep their places.
Along with Rice and Martin Odegaard in the middle of the park, we think Emile Smith Rowe has a great chance of keeping his place in the side after a fantastic first-half performance on Wednesday night.
For our front three, we’ve gone with Saka on the right, Gabriel Jesus through the middle, and we expect Reiss Nelson to get a start today after scoring the winner against Brentford midweek.
