Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to evaluate Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz on Saturday, with the Gunners also watching Wolves attacker Pedro Neto.

The 23-year-old forward has emerged as a talismanic figure for the Turkish giants in recent weeks, with Yilmaz scoring three goals and assisting another two in his last six league games.

And the winger’s form has now caught the eye of Arsenal, who heading into the summer are seemingly keen to bring in another wide-attacker to compete with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

According to journalist Burhan Can Terzi, Arsenal scouts were in attendance at Rams Park on Saturday to watch Yilmaz, with the forward impressing in a 2-0 win for Galatasaray against Istanbul Basaksehir.

With reports suggesting that Arsenal officials were also watching Neto in WolvesPremier League clash against Brentford, it’s been a busy weekend for the Gunners’ transfer department.

And Yilmaz could be an interesting signing for Arsenal if a move was to be made in the coming weeks, with the attacker previously described as a ‘game-changer’ for Galatasaray.

Indeed, whilst Neto is clearly the winger Arsenal are looking to sign, Yilmaz could be an ideal backup option if the north London side struggle to reach an agreement with Wolves for the Portuguese attacker.

Whilst Yilmaz’s form could see Galatasary charge a premium for the attacker in the summer, there’s no denying that the winger could be a bargain signing for a club like Arsenal.

The Turkish forward has exploded onto the scene in quite some fashion this season, and a move to the Premier League could now be firmly on the cards for Yilmaz.

And if Arsenal struggle to strike an agreement with Wolves for Neto, Yilmaz could be an ideal backup option, with the Galatasaray star putting up numbers that many would find convincing.
