Arsenal scouts watched ‘absolutely incredible’ £60m target in person on Saturday

Arsenal scouts were reportedly in attendance at Molineux yesterday to watch Pedro Neto’s Wolves take on Ivan Toney’s Brentford in the Premier League.

The two attackers have been strongly linked with moves to north London in recent months, with Neto and Toney both reportedly targets for Arsenal in the recent January transfer window.

Whilst the Gunners failed to launch an official move for either player, it’s pretty clear that Arsenal officials and Mikel Arteta are massive fans of both Neto and Toney heading into the summer window.

And according to HITC, Arsenal had scouts in attendance at this weekend’s Premier League clash between Wolves and Brentford, with the Bees coming away with a 2-0 win.

With Toney scoring on the day, Arsenal scouts will likely be favouring a move for the England international rather than Neto, despite the Wolves forward being a more ideal signing.

Lauded by Gary O’Neil as an ‘absolutely incredible’ player, the £60m-rated winger would be ideal for Arteta heading into the summer, with Neto clearly ready for the step up in the Premier League.

Whilst Arsenal scouts might have come away from Molineux impressed by Toney, there’s no denying that Neto is the player the Gunners should be looking to sign from the two.

Although a world-class striker is needed at the Emirates Stadium, Toney’s style of play and age make the Brentford man a less-than-appealing option for Arsenal heading into the summer.

Yet in regards to adding quality in the wide-attack, Neto is arguably the perfect candidate for Arsenal, with the Portuguese forward one of the most exciting players in the Premier League.

And under Arteta, there’s no reason why Neto can’t take his game to new levels, with the Wolves winger ready to explode with one of England’s biggest and best clubs in Arsenal.
