Barcelona want to sign Thomas Partey

While the January transfer window is expected to be a time when Arsenal welcome new players to the Emirates, it could also be a crucial time for departures.

Thomas Partey is one player whose contract in N5 ends at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, meaning clubs can contact the midfielder over a transfer in January.

Already, speculation has begun as Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona are admirers of Partey, who is yet to be offered a new deal at Arsenal – placing his future in doubt.

Cedric Soares lifts the lid on Declan Rice’s struggles

In an interview with The Athletic, former Arsenal defender Cedric Soares opened up about his time at the Emirates. 

The right-back, who left the Gunners in the summer at the expiration of his contract, spent some time detailing Declan Rice.

Cedric explained that at first, Rice struggled to adapt to Mikel Arteta’s style of coaching, explaining the intensity of the Arsenal manager’s approach.

Cedric also shared his own experience of working with Arteta.

Gary Lineker changes Premier League title race prediction

As Arsenal’s game against Brentford was moved, the Gunners are having to wait to play their next fixture.

Whilst waiting, Arteta’s side watched title rivals Liverpool thrash West Ham, winning 5-0 at the London Stadium to create a nine-point advantage over Arsenal. 

In the wake of the result, Arsenal fans highlighted Arteta’s transfer errors, while pundit Gary Lineker altered his title race prediction. 

Lineker previously backed Arteta to deliver the title in May 2025 however, his opinion has changed since his preliminary prediction.
