Arsenal defender Ben White has now revealed his favourite thing about Mikel Arteta.
Ben White has been a key player for Arsenal since his £50 million arrival from Brighton in the summer of 2021. Mikel Arteta has shown huge faith in the 26-year-old, and he even reinvented him as a full-back.
White arrived at the Emirates Stadium having spent the majority of his career as a centre-back. In his first campaign with the north London club, he played in the heart of the defence, alongside Gabriel Magalhaes.
However, following the emergence of William Saliba at the start of last season, White has had to adapt to a right-back role.
The four-cap England international has excelled following this transition. Forming an effective connection with Bukayo Saka, whilst remaining defensively solid, White is able to have an impact at both ends of the pitch.
Arteta deserves a huge amount of credit for shaping White into such a good right-back.

Ben White praises Mikel Arteta
White himself has now discussed one of the Spanish coach’s key qualities. Speaking to Premier League Productions, he said, “the best thing about Mikel is his knowledge of the game.”
Arteta is certainly a committed student of the game, who obsesses over details. His intensity and passion can be seen in his touchline behaviour. The former midfielder is perpetually in motion in his technical area, gesticulating wildly and barking instructions to his players throughout every match.
As a young manager, in his first job, with a young squad, Arteta and his players are learning and developing together. On top of his base of football knowledge, the experience Arteta will have gleaned last season in guiding the Gunners through a title challenge will stand the club in good stead to achieve future success. The aim this season will be to go one step better and land some major silverware.
