Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Declan Rice is Arsenal’s best player ahead of the likes of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.
The midfielder is having a fine campaign at the Emirates since his move from West Ham United in the summer. He is impressing everyone, and Ferdinand is adamant that nobody at Arsenal has been better than him this season.

Rio Ferdinand says Declan Rice is Arsenal’s best player
We’ve said this many times already, but choosing Arsenal‘s best player is extremely difficult.
An argument can be made that William Saliba is our best player because without him, we are nowhere near good enough to compete for the Premier League title. We can even argue Ben White deserves that accolade because he almost never goes below a 7/10.
Moving forward, we have Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli all worthy of that title in one way or another for their performances since the start of last season.
Ferdinand, however, thinks Arsenal’s best player is Declan Rice, and we can’t really argue with that assessment after watching his performances for us since his big-money move to the Emirates in the summer.
The Manchester United legend said on his podcast: “Declan Rice, he’s been your best player this year, he’s been your best player!”

Rice has been outstanding for Arsenal
Apart from perhaps Manchester City star Rodri, there’s no other midfielder in the Premier League who can do what Declan Rice does for Arsenal.
The Englishman is one of the best in the world. He’s brilliant as a number six, excellent as a box-to-box midfielder, and the way he drives up and down the pitch is a joy to watch.
Arsenal may not be at their fluid best yet, but we are still right up in the mix, and if Rice keeps performing in the same way, it will not be easy to stop us.
Sevilla are in town tonight to take on Arsenal in the Champions League. Rice is expected to start, and if he has a good game, we should be able to get the win without much trouble.
