Some Arsenal fans were simply blown away by what Kieran Tierney did for Scotland against the Faroe Islands in their World Cup qualifier last night.
The former Celtic man, signed by Unai Emery in the summer of 2019, is an Arsenal fan-favourite. He is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, and he stepped up on the international stage last night as well.
Tierney started as a left centre-half in a back three for Scotland yesterday. His position did not stop him from having a real impact in the attacking third as he picked up a hat-trick of assists in what was a stunning performance.

Last night’s game was Tierney’s 19th for Scotland and he hadn’t registered a single assist until yesterday. He smashed that record, but that isn’t the only one he managed to achieve at Hampden Park last night.
Opta reveal that the Arsenal man is the first player to pick up three assists in a single international game at Hampden Park since Kevin de Bruyne achieved that feat 18 months ago.
That’s a nice club to be a part of for Tierney, even though his feat of three assists from central defence is far more impressive.

Arsenal fans absolutely love Tierney for everything he has done for us over the last 18 months. He is a true fan-favourite at the Emirates, and even though all of our supporters know how good he is, his display last night made all of us go ‘wow!’.
