Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne are the top current assist kings when it comes to a single Premier League season.
Both players managed to assist teammates a whopping 20 times in their best seasons but now, Fernandes is not far behind.
The Man United man has been influential all season and is currently on 19 assists with a couple of Premier League games to go.
Of course, for some players, individual records are not all that important. But Fernandes has admitted that in the end, it would be a great achievement to match Arsenal legend Henry.

Bruno Fernandes shares his feelings about breaking Premier League assist record
To manage so many assists in a single season is quite the achievement and Fernandes should be commended.
The fact it is players of Henry’s and De Bruyne’s calibre who are above him shows just how good an achievement it will be.
And speaking to The Mirror, Fernandes has admitted it’s on his mind.
“I’ve said before it’s a very special record because it’s owned by Thierry and Kevin. They were standout players in the Premier League for many, many years and it would be great to do it,” Fernandes said.

Nevertheless, the United skipper also admitted that team goals come first.
“But I don’t want to focus on that so much because we want to achieve our targets and what was possible for us and one of those was to get back in the Champions League places. We wanted to get back into the European places and to be back in the Champions League is even better.
“Part of my game is creating chances, getting the ball to my team-mates and helping them score goals so if I have the chance to score my own ones then I will be happy to take them. That record will be an amazing achievement but not something I want to really focus on.”
The reality of Fernandes being on 19 Premier League assists really hits home when you compare it to Arsenal’s top creators.
This season, Leandro Trossard tops the charts with 11 in all competitions while Declan Rice has nine.
However, below that, we are onto Martin Odegaard with just seven and Eberechi Eze hitting just six.
That shows just how good Fernandes has been and really, it begs the question of where United would be without him.
