Bukayo Saka became the first Arsenal player since 2015 to achieve one thing as the Gunners thrashed Newcastle United.
Bukayo Saka got on the scoresheet yet again as Arsenal beat Newcastle United 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Arsenal scored their 700th Premier League goal at the Emirates Stadium in the first half against the Magpies. After the break, Saka then scored his 13th league goal of the season so far. This strike marked his 7th goal in his last 5 Premier League outings.
With this goal, the 22-year-old winger became the first Arsenal player to score in five consecutive Premier League matches in nine years. As reported by journalist Kaya Kaynak on X, the last player to achieve such a feat in red and white was Oliver Giroud. The French target man scored in five consecutive Premier League matches for the Gunners in 2015.
The last Englishman to score in five league games on the bounce for the north London club was Ian Wright.
Saka is also the youngest player to achieve this record since Jose Antonio Reyes managed it as a 21-year-old in 2004.
This has already been an historic campaign for the Hale End academy graduate. Earlier on this season, Saka became the youngest Arsenal player since 1978 to reach one personal milestone.

Bukayo Saka firing in-form Arsenal in right direction
Mikel Arteta is already hugely reliant on the winger. Despite his youth, Saka is a talismanic figure at the Emirates Stadium. If Arsenal are to achieve their aims for this season, and stand any chance of being crowned Premier League champions come the end of the campaign, then it is vital that the 32-cap England international is able to remain fit and firing on all cylinders.
Arsenal continued their free-scoring recent Premier League form against the Tyneside outfit. The Gunners have now scored 25 goals in their last six league matches, and have conceded just three times in that period. Arteta’s side now boast the best goal difference in the division, which could prove to be crucial come the end of the campaign as the Premier League title race is so tight at this time.
As things stand, just two points separate Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal at the top end of the Premier League table. Arsenal are unlikely to be considered title favourites by many, but their current form certainly suggests that they mean serious business.
