Bukayo Saka has revealed that Thierry Henry has not given him any advice for the World Cup because he wants France to win.

The Arsenal winger has been asked about his strong bond with Henry and explained what he has learned from watching him.

Saka was asked how he reacted when Henry first messaged him, and he told GQ Sports: “My initial reaction was a real buzz because I didn’t expect him to message me. He’s a player that I’ve looked up to, and he means a lot to me as a player. I know what he means to Arsenal Football Club.”

When asked what he has learned from watching the Arsenal legend, he revealed: “What I learned from him is that when you’re on the pitch, you need to make things happen.

Bukayo Saka has been struggling ahead of the World Cup,

Saka has been struggling to consistently train ahead of the World Cup, and it will be interesting to see how the Arsenal star gets on.

Thomas Tuchel told the media: “Bukayo is just not there yet. Some things are missing, like consecutive training. They took very good care of him [at Arsenal] and were very aware of it, and we will do a little bit the same.

“He is at the moment not able to do every training session through the week and then play. He is still going to be managed.”

That has led many England fans to question Tuchel’s decision to select him over players like Cole Palmer and Phil Foden.

However, Saka will be looking to quickly shut down those claims by taking his opportunities when he is fit to feature for the Three Lions.
