Bukayo Saka netted a World Cup hat-trick to finish off England’s campaign but for Arsenal fans, it was all about how fit and ready their key man was.

Arsenal fans questioned why Saka didn’t play in the semi-final against Argentina but in the bronze medal match, Saka showed just how good he can be.

Still, while Saka’s hat-trick was a major highlight, Gunners fans will have been wondering if he was actually injured.

And in a somewhat revealing interview to the BBC after the game, Saka revealed just how he’s feeling and furthermore, if he could have played more.

Bukayo Saka reveals how fit he is as England beat France

It was a touch frustrating seeing England play so well going forward and seeing Saka deliver as he did as well after missing out v Argentina.

And when pressed on both his fitness and opinion on Tuchel after the game, Saka seemed clear in his feelings.

“Of course I would love to have played more but it’s too late to talk about that. I try to do my talking on the pitch and it’s done now, move on. I’m fit,” Saka commented.

Asked to speak on the noise around Thomas Tuchel himself, Saka suggested that in simple terms, it’s just part of being involved in football.

“I think that’s just part of the game. When you win there’s going to be noise, when you win there’s going to be noise, it’s how you react to it, how you use it as fuel and today we finished strong and that’s all we could really do and we did that.”

Arsenal fans will simply be relieved that Saka has come out of this tournament seemingly fit and also, finding some form.

As for Thomas Tuchel, he will be getting seriously questioned now. The triple from Saka tonight has only added more pressure on the German to explain his thought process in that semi-final.

For now, though, Saka coming home fit and firing and on the back of joining an elite England club, is a positive end to the tournament for the Gunners winger.
