Bukayo Saka is often Arsenal’s biggest goal threat.
The Englishman was the Gunners’ top scorer in the 2023/24 season. He scored 20 goals in all competitions, which is a very good return for a wide player.
If you asked most Arsenal fans to predict who would be their top scorer this season, we’re sure most of them would name Saka again.
However, the Arsenal number seven thinks it will be someone else.
Bukayo Saka says Kai Havertz will outscore him at Arsenal this season
Kai Havertz has really turned things around at Arsenal since the turn of 2024.
The Germany international had a very difficult start to life at the Emirates following his big-money move from Chelsea. He came under immense criticism in his first few months at the club.
But, over the last 11 months, Havertz has been one of Arsenal’s best players, and he has come up with some important goals as well.
However, most people’s worry about Havertz is that he is not prolific enough to lead Arsenal to the Premier League or the Champions League titles.
The former Chelsea man’s goalscoring record in England is not great, but he must have shown something in training that has convinced Saka that he will score a lot of goals this season.
Nicole Holliday posted a reel on Instagram, where she asked Bukayo Saka who would score the most goals among himself, Havertz and Leandro Trossard this season.
The Arsenal number seven was told that he could pick himself, but he replied: “Kai Havertz! I think Kai Havertz!”

Kai Havertz could do something he has never done before in 2024/25
Havertz has had a great start to the season at Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 16 starts in all competitions so far this season, which is a very impressive record considering that the Gunners had almost zero creativity for two months when Martin Odegaard was out injured.
Havertz will most likely play at least 30 more games in all competitions this season, and he could do something that he has never done before in those games.
The most goals Havertz has scored in a single season is 20. That came in the 2018/19 season, when he was still a Bayer Leverkusen player.
Havertz could break his personal record this season – he needs just 13 goals in the remainder of this campaign. That is achievable and we think he’s going to do it.
