Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in the world.

The Englishman is still only 23 years old, but his performances season after season for both club and country have been incredible.

Every year, Mikel Arteta has given Saka more responsibilities at Arsenal. This year, he has been included in the club’s leadership group.

Saka has worn the captain’s armband on multiple occasions already, and he has now revealed the two people who have taught him a lot about captaincy.

Bukayo Saka hails Arsenal star Martin Odegaard and Harry Kane

Saka has played under a few captains over the years at Arsenal.

From Laurent Koscielny and Granit Xhaka to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and briefly Alexandre Lacazette, he has seen different styles of leadership.

Those players would’ve definitely had an impact on Saka’s own leadership style, but two current captains he plays under have had the most influence – Martin Odegaard at Arsenal and Tottenham legend Harry Kane in the England national team.

Saka has claimed that he tries to learn from both of them and then leads the team in the best way he possibly can.

He said in a press conference, as relayed on HaytersTV: “With Martin, obviously I’ve seen him come in when he wasn’t the captain and now he is. So, I’ve seen him progress and evolve in that role, It has been really impressive.

“I have been watching and learning at times, and he has made a big step at that.

“Harry Kane is also a top captain as well. He leads by example a lot on the pitch, he’s always available, he’s always training top, always one of the best in training as well.

“So, I try to learn from them both and do what I can do best.”

Saka is about to become even better for Arsenal

Saka has done well with the captain’s armband for Arsenal – he has led the side admirably despite a few difficult results.

Now, the pressure of leadership on the Englishman’s young shoulders is about to reduce because Odegaard is back fit and available for selection.

That won’t just take some weight off Saka, but his ability to have an impact in the final third will become even better now that Odegaard is there to assist him on the right side.

Arsenal have had a difficult recent run, but with Odegaard back, we expect all of their attackers to go up a level, especially Saka, who shares a great relationship with his skipper.
