Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has now shared what he honestly thinks of former teammate Granit Xhaka after their Euro 2024 reunion.

Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka were able to share a pitch together again yesterday evening, albeit as opponents, as England took on Switzerland in a Euro 2024 quarter-final clash.

Ultimately, Saka was able to get the better of the former Arsenal midfielder, as the 22-year-old scored the Three Lions’ equaliser, and also stepped up to convert a penalty in the shootout that ultimately decided the match in England’s favour.

Saka and Xhaka have both impressed at the tournament so far. In fact, Xhaka was even recently included on a list of legends such as Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the payers with most player of the match awards in European Championships history.

Meanwhile, Saka was handed the player of the match award for his decisive contribution on Saturday.

In the aftermath of the game, Saka and Xhaka were able to catch up briefly on the pitch.

Bukayo Saka reveals his thoughts about former Arsenal ace Granit Xhaka

Since leaving the Emirates Stadium last summer, Xhaka has enjoyed great success with Bayer Leverkusen. However, he remains a fan favourite in North London.

What’s more, Xhaka is still supportive of Arsenal, and is eager to see Mikel Arteta lead the club to silverware success soon.

In the wake of England’s win over Switzerland, Saka took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and the 31-year-old reunited on the pitch, along with the caption: “Top Guy. Top Player.”

There is certainly an argument that Arteta made a mistake in allowing Xhaka to leave the club last summer, especially as Thomas Partey has been able to contribute so little recently due to persistent injury issues.

Having said that, one of Xhaka’s replacements at Arsenal, Declan Rice, was able to do a solid job of countering the 129-cap Switzerland international’s influence on Saturday.
