Bukayo Saka has been full of praise for Arsenal teammate Eberechi Eze, who he believes is one of the most exciting players to watch.
Eze made his dream move to Arsenal in the summer, but following a promising start, things haven’t quite gone to plan for the 27-year-old.
TRUE or FALSE: Antoine Semenyo would have been a better signing for Arsenal than Eberechi Eze…
Over recent weeks, Eze has found himself stuck on the bench at Arsenal, having not featured in four of the Gunners’ last seven matches.
Mikel Arteta was quick to remind everyone that Eze has still played a lot of football, but there are still question marks over how much trust he has in the midfielder.
Bukayo Saka hails Arsenal teammate Eberechi Eze
But one man who rates Eberechi Eze so highly is his new Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka, who is delighted to be playing with him in N5.
The Arsenal academy graduate thinks Eze is so exciting to watch, but noted that the pair are slightly different in what they bring to the team.
Saka, who has agreed a new contract with Arsenal, believes that Eze’s best position is as a number ten, which is quite interesting to hear.
When asked about the similarities between him and Eze, Saka told Men in Blazers: “Yeah, man. We both obviously grew up in London.
Imagine it’s the Champions League final tomorrow and you could only start one player out of Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard. Who are you picking and why?
“Our games have been shaped a bit differently, but I think we both bring excitement and different energy to the pitch.
“Ebs is a number 10. Very creative, very instinctive, skilful player. He’s got a moment of magic in him, you know, that’s very entertaining to watch.”
Eze was rather disappointing against Portsmouth and will not have done his chances of getting back into the Arsenal team any favours with his display.
The other issue facing Eze is the brilliant form of Martin Odegaard, who has returned from injury looking better than ever.
Bukayo Saka says Arsenal is by far the biggest London club
Saka is adamant that Arsenal is the biggest London club due to the club’s stadium, history and the culture amongst the fans.
“I live in London. I go out in London a lot. It’s hardly a day I go around and don’t see an Arsenal shirt. the history we have and the stadium we have and the fans and culture of the fans,” added Saka.
“I definitely think it’s the biggest team in London. It’s my opinion. Fight me if you want. I don’t care.”
